A chemical spraying drone was used on around 1 km circumference pond replete with water hyacinth in Medininagar. The pond is known as Ambedkar Talab.    Giving this information the city commissioner Md Jawed Hussain said "Water hyacinth grows faster. We had got weeded it out of this pond last year too."   The city commissioner further said "We had floated tender. The man who it the contract  has the logistics like spraying drone, chemicals etc. Our corporation men are supervising."   The chemicals used to neutralise the water hyacinth are eco friendly. It is said to be non harming to aquatic bodies like water insects, water birds, fish and other lives.    City commissioner said "Once these water hyacinths will neutralise, then this pond will be cleaned manually."   City manager Satish Kumar said "We are not inclined any more to use weed harvester. We did use it once. We believe neutralised water hyacinth is better weeded out by human hands than by the weed harvester."
